13th Annual Miss Isle of Wight County Fair Scholarship Pageant
Register for the 2012 Miss Isle of Wight County Fair Scholarship Pageant.
Registration will began Thursday, March 1, 2012 and end on Monday June 25, 2012. There are a limited number of slots (15) in each age group. Please, mention the Pageant to friends and family and remember that early registrations get the best numbers.
Flyers will be distributed in the local schools and will also be available at the following locations: Carrollton Nike Park, Visitor Center/Tourism Office, Camptown Center, and the Skating Rink.
Please, join us again and download the rules and application listed below. Your application should be returned to the Parks and Recreation Office at Carrollton Nike Park. You can send the applications to Lauren W. Bailess-Recreation Specialist/Pageant Coordinator at 13036 Nike Park Road, Carrollton, VA 23314. A head shot and a $65 registration fee will need to accompany your application.
To qualify, applicants must live, work or attend school in Isle of Wight County. Schools will be defined as public, private and dance schools located in Isle of Wight County. This pageant is NOT an open pageant. You must be between ages 3 to 21. Participants will be assigned to the age group they fall in as of the date of the Pageant, August 4, 2012.
Applicants should understand if chosen, they will have the responsibility of service to Isle of Wight County. Queens make an average of 50 appearances a year at various functions and parades. Please understand this is a commitment.
Mark your calendar! The 13th Annual Miss Isle of Wight County Fair Scholarship Pageant will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Smithfield High School. Girls and young women throughout Isle of Wight County may compete for the title of either Wee, Little, Junior, Pre-Teen, Teen or Miss Isle of Wight County Fair. The new Miss Isle of Wight County Fair Queen will go on to the state pageant to compete for the title of Miss Virginia Association of Fairs.
